The Lutheran Home: Cedar Haven provides assisted living for all ages. We have two homes that offer a cozy atmosphere.
Our caregivers are focused on providing person-centered, quality care. This includes:
- Spiritual care
- 3 home-cooked meals a day and snacks
- Assistance with personal care
- Housekeeping and personal laundry services
- Recreational activities and social opportunities
Other services, such as arranging transportation, cable television, telephone and Internet, or Licensed Home Health services, are available at an additional cost.
Each home offers 12 private rooms. You are welcome to personalize your space with your own items, such as furniture or pictures. Each room has individually controlled heat and air conditioning and a private bathroom.

Quality care
Our assisted living services are tailored to meet each person’s needs and interests. Specially trained staff are on-site 24 hours every day. A Registered Nurse provides supervision of health care needs and is on call around-the-clock. Medication monitoring or administration is also available.
We also offer community areas to enjoy a visit or relax, including:
- Game table
- Living room, with TV
- Dining room
- Covered front porches
Residents also often enjoy social opportunities. We find recreational activities that match residents’ interests.
Part of the community
Our location offers the benefits of being part of a residential community while being close to many of the city’s restaurants and entertainment choices.
You can enjoy pleasant walks around the neighborhood or the view from the front porch. Franklin Rogers Park is across the street where many activities, like baseball games, are held.
A wide choice of medical services, including a variety of clinics and a hospital, are nearby. Mankato is also close to specialists in Rochester and the Twin Cities.
Spiritual care
We welcome the opportunity to reach out and serve with our spiritual care programs.
Ordained pastors regularly visit for Bible classes, singing and games like Bible bingo. Personal spiritual counseling is also provided, if desired.
