Alzheimer's Care

Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia subtly rob people of many of their memories. We provide housing in settings designed to meet their needs and other memory care services.

Memory Care Housing by TLHA


The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine, in Belle Plaine, MN, offers a Special Care Residence, especially designed to provide a higher level of care as Alzheimer’s or other dementias progress. Our staff are provided with ongoing training opportunities throughout the year on resident needs and cares related to dementia and Alzheimer's disease. These opportunities include online training, onsite workshops, and annual meeting sessions from leading health care organizations. 

Kingsway Retirement Living, in Belle Plaine, MN, has a living area dedicated to providing memory care. This neighborhood includes an interactive kitchenette and studio apartments.


Heritage Homes, in Watertown, WI, offers an assisted living and memory care community. Heritage Homes is participating in a community initiative, Dementia Friendly, Dementia Aware. Download Heritage Home's media book. 

Memory Cafe

TLHA is committed to providing a safe, comfortable and engaging environment designed to meet the needs of those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. A couple of our facilities, host a Memory Cafe. The Memory Café is a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for those with memory loss and their caregivers.

The Lutheran Home: River Falls and Wellhaven Senior Living
When: Last Tuesday of the month

The Memory Café will feature speakers, educational offerings, and special activities. Program content will vary based on guests’ interests, needs, and concerns. We welcome those with dementia (or a related diagnosis), individuals with mild cognitive impairment and people who are concerned about memory loss, as well as family members or caregivers.
