St. Paul’s Lutheran Church celebrates groundbreaking for senior housing community

Logo for Kingsway in Beverly Hills, FLSt. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church will celebrate the groundbreaking for Kingsway of Beverly Hills, an independent senior living rental community for adults 55 years of age or older. This new community will be located on the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School campus in Beverly Hills, Florida. Church leaders and members will join together to break ground for the upcoming community. A reception will be held immediately following the brief outdoor ceremony. The public is welcome to attend.

Builders for Christ will provide a significant amount of labor for construction. Kingsway Management Services, a division of The Lutheran Home Association based in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, will manage the property.  Read more

Three JCM volunteers receive 2012 “Care of the Soul Leadership Awards”

Three former teachers have humbly serving the Lord in a variety of ways professionally an as volunteers. They have used their abilities to share God’s Word to people who have developmental and other disabilities in our Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM) programs. Read more

 

 

 

TLHA holds Annual Meeting and honors long-term employees

Employees honored for years of service at 2012 Annual MeetingThe 39th annual meeting of The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) was held on January 17 at The Lutheran Home Campus at 611 West Main Street in Belle Plaine. Delegates, pastors and guests from the 215 Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) congregations from across the nation, which own and operate TLHA’s not-for-profit ministry, attended the meeting. St. Michael’s Lutheran Home transitioning to assisted living

Belle Plaine, MN—The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA), based in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, will discontinue St. Michael’s Lutheran Home’s skilled nursing care services on March 31, 2012. On April 1, the facility will officially begin services as a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF), more commonly referred to as assisted living.  Read more 

Retirement announced

Jim Esmeier, Staff Minister for The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) and Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM), has announced his retirement, effective January 6, 2012. We thank Jim for his years of service for this ministry, and we wish him well in his future endeavors and service in the WELS. We look forward to future opportunities of interaction with Jim in our mutual desire of sharing the gift of Jesus to those in our ministry.  Read more
