Your Support Makes a Difference!

Have you ever felt alone? Really alone? Recently, a story has broke in Minneapolis where family members were arrested for forcing their sister with developmental disabilities into prostitution. It’s hard to imagine such an unspeakable act. It’s hard to imagine just how alone that woman with special needs must have felt.

Alone. Most of us at one time or another has had that feeling. In a very real sense, that is why Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM) exists . . . to heal loneliness. In particular, the loneliness of the soul through the message of Jesus Christ our Savior.

Just this past year, we have reached out to individuals bullied in schools through our New Friends events. We have provided comfort to families who have been excluded by the church or made to feel unwelcome because their child speaks or acts “differently” with our Simplified Worship services.

Lance

When 52-year-old Lance was baptized this past year, there wasn’t a dry eye in the church. His sister had tried taking him to regular church services but it was too overwhelming for him. When they found a Jesus Cares program nearby, Lance immediately felt comfortable. He had found a place to nurture his soul.

ask Jackie Jesus Care MinistriesAskJackie.org was started this past summer. Jackie is the Community Services Director for Jesus Cares Ministries. She also has a son with Fragile X Syndrome. With a sincere voice she shares her thoughts about her son, family, faith and the ups and downs of life. As her words have already touched many, JCM is expanding upon that momentum and building a more robust online community that could reach thousands more seeking Christian support.

WELS Kingdom Workers MalawiMalawi

This past November, two JCM leaders traveled to Malawi with WELS Kingdom Workers on an exploratory mission. What they found was a deep desire to know more about Christ. The disabled are viewed as cursed or demon-possessed and are largely ignored. Our joint efforts can help them know the Lord’s saving gift of eternal life.

“Love Match”

Valentine’s Day is a day we associate closely with romance. It’s not a day we talk about broken relationships. Yet, this special ministry helps reach nearly 5,000 people every year with the hope of Jesus who heals every empty, broken heart.

Today, we have a special Valentine opportunity for you. An anonymous donor has offered to match (50 cents for every dollar) every gift to Jesus Cares Ministries up to $10,000 through the Lenten season. We invite you to make a special gift in honor of a loved one, a wedding anniversary or someone special that has helped share love with those who have special needs.

To make a donation, please visit our donation page and reference “Love Match” with your gift.

Thank you in advance for your support!
