Former JCM volunteer supports the IDD community through recurring giving

Marketing September 27, 2021

During her four years at Luther Preparatory School, Keturah Carbon shared her time volunteering at the school’s Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM) program.

As part of the JCM program, the school hosted a monthly Worship at the Cross service. The JCM ministry works to share God’s Word with people with special needs in a fun and meaningful way.

Today, as a senior in college with no local program to volunteer with, Keturah continues to support JCM through prayers and financial giving. In early 2021, she chose to faithfully give a monthly gift to support a program that helped to make a difference in her life.

“I really enjoyed volunteering, and I feel like it had a big impact on me,” Keturah explained. “Making the small little donation is my way of staying connected to JCM and still supporting.”

Keturah stays up to date with JCM through social media and ministry emails.

“We love seeing JCM volunteers transition to supporting our ministry financially,” said Pastor Joel Gaertner, the director of JCM. “It’s nice to hear the lasting impact the program has made on Keturah. As we continue to have new programs start, one might be closer enough for her to be involved once again.”

Keturah and other ministry friends stay up to date with JCM through the monthly “JCM Connect” emails. The email features new programs, ministry updates, program ideas, and a devotion. To sign up, email info@tlha.org.
