Pastor Patrick Feldhus is always staying busy. He serves as a consultant for Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM) where he mentors JCM programs. He serves as chaplain for Hope Residence and High Island Creek Residence, care communities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  He also serves as Pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, Minn.

Through his role as Pastor, he has been able to meet and form a relationship with Phal Ngim. Phal, and his family, recently moved to the Le Sueur area. He is originally from Cambodia. He began volunteering at the local food shelf, where members of Grace also volunteer.

Phal shared with the church volunteers that he was looking for a church who taught from the Bible. The volunteers shared about their church, Grace Lutheran. Phal, and his family, soon began attending church at Grace.

“I love the smiles, the kindness, the warm welcoming and comfort that my family and I receive when we meet the members,” said Phal. “Pastor Patrick and the members are so wise, humble and caring. I feel like my family, and I can learn so much from them.”

While meeting Phal, Pastor Feldhus mentioned JCM and Phal became interested in the ministry. He hopes to see the ministry share God’s Word in his home country of Cambodia.

“There are many people who most would turn their backs towards or be ashamed to be seen with, but Pastor Patrick works with and gives value to all. You can really see that Christ-like love that Jesus had for others in him,” Phal explained.

JCM International currently works to share God’s Word in Malawi, Africa and Grenada.

“When we create connections to different countries like this, the possibilities are endless,” said Pastor Feldhus. “We are following God’s plan and continuing to share the good news of Jesus with as many people as possible.”

JCM leaders are continuing to work to share God’s Word with individuals with special needs, no matter where they live. We have a variety of online resources, including videos of our Worship at the Cross ONLINE services. Learn more.
