Doing good while enjoying chocolate
Community members and tenants had the opportunity to do good while enjoying samples of chocolate creations. Wellhaven Senior Living hosted a Wine and Chocolate tasting fundraiser in February.
Attendees were able to sample chocolate in unique ways. Wellhaven team members prepared chocolate cookies, waffles drizzled in chocolate, sweet and spicy chocolate barbeque chicken and spinach artichoke dip with white chocolate.
“The recipes used chocolate in new and different ways. Attendees tried fresh innovative ideas that incorporated chocolate into meals,” said Beth Ann Schultz, manager at Wellhaven.
Attendees learned which chocolates, in meals or alone, pair best with different wines. Items were available for purchase with a portion of sales donatedback to Wellhaven.
“It’s wonderful to have people supporting our ministry but also enjoying themselves during a fun night out,” Beth Ann said.
