A gift to benefit St. Michael’s
In memory of their father Melvin, the Passow family donated a grill and a propane fire pit to St. Michael’s Assisted Living. Melvin lived at St. Michael’s from May 2014 until he was called home to heaven on Dec. 22, 2017.

Throughout the years, Melvin’s family had many connections to St. Michael’s. Several family members worked at his home: his brother worked in maintenance, his sister-in-law served as a cook, his daughter was a certified nursing assistant and his granddaughter was employed as a dietary assistant.
Once the Fountain City weather starts to warm up, both residents and team members at St. Michael’s will use the grill and fire pit frequently.
“We have a number of grill outs when the weather is nice” said Tiffany Olson, administrator at St. Michael’s Assisted Living, “The fire pit will be wonderful for fireside chats and being able to make s’mores in the summer.”
No matter the donation, St. Michael’s benefits from all gifts.
“Donations like this help because it directly benefits the residents by increasing satisfaction in their home. Gifts allow us to be able to splurge a little and provide a treat to our residents,” Tiffany explained.
