Marketing December 30, 2016

Belle Plaine, MN, December 30, 2016 – For the fourth consecutive year, Kingsway Retirement Living, a ministry of The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA), won the Best of Assisted Living Award from SeniorAdvisor. Kingsway received the award for its consistently high ratings from residents and their families in 2016.

“It is an honor to be recognized as one of the best assisted living facilities in the country for the fourth consecutive year,” said Michael Klatt, president and chief executive officer of The Lutheran Home Association. “The award reflects our team members’ continuing commitment to provide quality Christian care through outstanding customer service and Christian values.”

At Kingsway, she is receiving the continuous care she needs. She is also enjoying a social life with other residents. She enjoys her apartment and the meals. She is now getting, with the aid of the staff, the proper nutrition she needs.”

A spouse shared in August 2016, “I felt sad and worried the day my husband was to enter Kingsway Memory Care, but staff came to meet us at the door, took him by the hand and made me feel better about the admission. He seemed happy to be there right away and never asked to leave. He had a beautiful room but spent most of his time in the common area because I feel he loved being with the staff. The meals were good. Staff was very caring to all of the residents and they were very courteous to my family and friends when we visited. The staff and facility went above and beyond what I would have expected when he became ill and dying. They showed so much love and concern.”

“We receive highly positive reviews from family members throughout the year. The success of Kingsway is due to the outstanding team members who take great pride in their work,” said Karl Keup, administrator of Kingsway Retirement Living.

The annual SeniorAdvisor.com Best of Awards tabulates over 130,000 family created reviews to find the best quality care providers for this honor. Of the nearly 200,000 communities currently listed on SeniorAdvisor.com, Kingsway is one of just over 1,400 recognized with this award nationwide.  Kingsway is one of 20 winners in Minnesota and one of two in the state who won the award four consecutive years.

The SeniorAdvisor Excellence Award identifies the top senior living communities who have received an overall average rating of at least 4.5 stars on the site. This exclusive designation places the winners in the top one percent of the senior living communities nationwide according to consumers.

“Our SeniorAdvisor.com Awards program is all about celebrating the exceptional people who truly deliver great care for our seniors. We’re honored to spread the word about these organizations whom families can entrust with the care of their loved ones,” said Eric Seifert, president of SeniorAdvisor.com.
