TLHA Belle Plaine Campus welcomes Craig Smith as new administrator
BELLE PLAINE, MINN., July 11, 2016 – Craig Smith joined The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) as the new administrator for The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine, a skilled nursing facility on the Belle Plaine Campus. Smith brings decades of experience in skilled care administration and executive management in senior care environments. Previously working in both small rural facilities and a large 200 bed Metro Facility, he is well equipped to take on this new role in Belle Plaine.
“Craig is knowledgeable in all aspects of the financial, reimbursement and regulatory requirements of skilled care and administration,” said Mariann Wiebusch, Vice President of Operations for The Lutheran Home Association. “He intends to build on our mission to provide spiritual and person-centered care for all the seniors that live and reside in our facility.”
Craig obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from St. Cloud State University and furthered his education by attending the University of Minnesota’s Long Term Care Administrator’s Program. Prior to joining TLHA, Craig worked as a Consultant with Pathway Consulting Services for several years and previously held several administrator positions in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
In addition to Craig’s extensive work experience and education in operations, he has been actively involved in strategic planning, competitive marketing strategies, and cultivating community relationships. Smith proudly served our country in the US Air Force and in the Active National Guard and was honorably discharged from the Air Force and National Guard.
