BELLE PLAINE, MINN. September 15, 2015 — The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA), a leader in senior and disability housing and Christian outreach, announces it will run a fiber optic cable to The Lutheran Home Campus in Belle Plaine, Minn. to service its entire ministry. The fiber optic cable line will replace the copper cables historically used. The decision to upgrade service with Frontier Communications shows an investment in security and bandwidth to provide state-of-the-art technology access and security to residents, family members and staff to position the ministry for the future.

“The dedicated fiber optic cable line will allow us to continue to grow with the demands of our residents, family members and staff,” said Mariann Wiebusch, Vice President of Operations with TLHA. “From It’s Never Too Late technologies that engage residents with staff and family members to increased bandwidth for staff training and data transferring, the fiber optic line will allow for faster date to transfer to and from our locations nationwide.”

Advantages to a fiber optic line can include accommodating high bandwidths, resisting electromagnetic interference, detecting cable damage early on, and providing increased security. Fiber optic cable lines are considered one of the most secure data solutions available.

“TLHA is in a data sensitive industry, we are continually monitoring and evaluating our systems,” said Doyle Voss, Director of Information Technology with TLHA. “The investment will provide our department with the tools needed to grow our ministry to meet the demands safely and securely.”
