Recognizing our volunteers
In observance of National Volunteer Recognition Week, Kingsway Retirement Living and The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine volunteers were honored with a super-sized pizza during a luncheon held at KingsPath Senior Living.

“Our volunteers enjoy being a part of our community so much that they bless us with their time and presence. I am humbled to work with such wonderful people who continuously pour the heart and soul into the lives of our residents. The inspiring work that they do should be celebrated as they are giving an important part of their lives that they can never get back, their time,” said Vlada Gladis, Life Enrichment Manager at Kingsway.
In both care communities, volunteers assist in a variety of different ways including assisting with special parties and events such as pizza and beer night at Kingsway, pet therapy, birthday parties, accompanying residents to special activities, decorating for the holidays, sharing talents, becoming friends with our residents on a one to one level and more.
“Each one of our volunteers has given us their time, talents and their loving hearts as they have developed special bonds with our residents and have found their niche in our community. The time they have given to us has truly has helped make opportunities for our residents,” said Betsy Berger, Therapeutic Recreation Director at The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine.
Thank you to all our volunteers for your faithful service and passion for our ministry! Interested in sharing your time and talents with our residents? Email info@tlha.org for more information!
