Picture1-6Jill Holden joined the Kingsway team as Director of Nursing in December 2018. Jill is not a new face to The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA).

In college, TLHA was one of her clinical placements for a nursing management class. After she graduated, she worked as a staff nurse in the nursing home. After gaining acute care experience, Jill returned from 1999 to 2004 working in multiple positions at the nursing home. In 2007, she taught as an adjunct faculty for Minnesota State University Mankato and brought students to TLHA for clinical sites.

Outside of TLHA, Jill has a broad background in the nursing profession bringing management and supervisory skills to the team. She has worked in long term care insurance underwriting with Optum Health, served at the Mayo clinic in Le Sueur, worked as a care coordinator for Geriatric Services of Minnesota and worked as a nurse consultant for the Department of Homeland Security.

“I am happy we have hired such a talented leader with such a diverse nursing background,” said Karl Keup, Administrator at Kingsway. “Jill is a great addition to our team.”

“Being back with TLHA feels like I’m coming home, it’s where I started and it has a hold on me. I enjoy talking with the residents and looking out for their well-being,” Jill said. “I am excited to get to know all of the residents and team members. I hope to use my management skills to contribute to Kingsway in a positive way.”

Holden resides in Union Hill with her husband, two daughters and a chocolate lab, Bear.
