BBQ Days fun in Belle Plaine!
Hope residents Christina and Heather had the opportunity to walk in the BBQ Days Parade as part of The Lutheran Home Association float. Together, Christina and Heather carried the banner.
“I never have done anything like that before. There were a lot of people watching. It was hot but fun too. I will do it again next year if they need anyone,” Heather said.
One highlight was walking past Hope Residence. Despite the warm weather, many Hope residents gathered outside to watch the parade. It was a typical summer parade with floats featuring marching bands, princesses, candy and horses.
“It’s sure fun to see the parade. I liked the music and just about everything,” said Hope resident Gloria.
“I liked the parade because I got lots of candy,” said Hope resident Sean.
