Finding a spot to watch the annual River Falls Days parade in is no problem for residents at Wellhaven and The Lutheran Home: River Falls. They get a front-row seat.

“Our campus is right on Main Street, so we put out a ton of chairs for people to come and watch,” said campus marketing director Christina Marshall.

Pre parade party 2015A warm July evening, a city block’s worth of seating — what could be better?  The chance to gather for fellowship. TLH and Wellhaven staff members throw a pre-parade party for residents, families and friends that includes food, drinks and fun family games. This year’s bash drew about 700 people to enjoy the spectacle and the camaraderie.

“Lots of staff attended and volunteered their time. Everyone worked hard and made it a success,” said Tanya Tober, social work director on campus.  “It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed connecting with the community. I even had my daughter volunteering and working the jump house, and she had a great time.”
