Sharing the Gospel in Malawi, Africa
For the second consecutive year, Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM) has been called to share the message of Jesus Christ to people who have development and intellectual disabilities in Malawi, Africa.
In February, Pastor Joel Gaertner, Debra Wilbright and Connie Bixby from TLHA went to Malawi to assess the current situation of Jesus Cares Ministries and WELS Kingdom Workers.
We are pleased to share breaking news:
- To bring the hope of Jesus Christ to more people, JCM worked with Kingdom Workers to form the Malawi Disability Collaborative. This program will SHARE, PROVIDE and INSPIRE HOPE.
- Malawi president, Joyce Banda, hosted the first “African Leaders Forum on Intellectual Disability” and discussed many new opportunities for people with disabilities living in Malawi to receive the care and rights that others have received for decades.
