The Lutheran Home Association Board of Directors Met to Review Ministry’s Fiscal Year
BELLE PLAINE, MINN. (November 18, 2019)—The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA), a non-profit healthcare and disability ministry, held a board of directors meeting recently. During the last meeting of the year, the board and leadership team met at Heritage Homes, one of its senior living care communities in Watertown, WI.
Attendees had an opportunity to tour the independent living, assisted living, and memory care community, interact with residents and meet team members. Rev. Michael Jensen, district president of the WELS Wisconsin District, began the meeting with a devotion and prayer.
“Hosting the meeting at a community allowed us to see first-hand how our work makes a difference in individual lives,” said Lowell Hoffman, chairman of the board. “It’s an honor to serve on the board for TLHA and a privilege to collaborate with the board members.”
In addition to the site tour, the board of directors:
- Reviewed financial agreements.
- Recognized the office of mission advancement for exceeding contributions for the year.
- Adopted operational policies to advance the ministry.
- Discussed Jesus Cares Ministries program opportunities.
“We made decisions for the future of the ministry at the meeting,” said Michael Klatt, president and CEO at TLHA. “With the new partnerships, program offerings, and JCM opportunities, we are excited to go into 2020 to continue to share our mission with more people.”
