Finding the Right Home for Your Loved One

Finding a right home for a loved one can be challenging and frightening, but The Lutheran Home Association focuses on “where the care of the soul is the soul of care.”

The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) is a multi-amenity association for each of our residents and includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, rehab, affordable housing, and disability housing. TLHA helps residents and family members every step of the way throughout their journeys.

Each care community helps your loved one to grow and to obtain the necessary care while staying within one care community. For example, residents can start with independent living at Kingsway Retirement Living, and if more assistance is needed, we can help to transition them to assisted living within Kingsway or to our long-term care facility.

For those experiencing memory loss, TLHA also provides compassionate care within our memory care areas located at Kingsway and at our skilled nursing facility, The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine.

TLHA also helps those who may need temporary placement to become stronger so that they can go back home and resume everyday living.

In addition, our ministry has options for disability and HUD housing on the same campus. For those experiencing financial hardship, options are available to meet various income levels.

Whether your loved one is high functioning, needs light care, or requires full nursing care, our care community allows for the flexibility of living on one campus through our continuum of care.

Our admissions team will help you to find your next home. Team members get to know each resident and focus not only on the residents but also on their family members. We know that residents are not alone on their journeys. Together, we create “where the care of the soul is the soul of care.”
