A Prayer for the Season
Dear Savior,
Your heroic sacrifice to save our lives shows us how important we are to you. With your love for us in constant focus, we are moved to live out of a heart of thanksgiving, even in the disruptive circumstances we face today.
Thank you for the protection and guidance you give us every day. Thank you for the caring hearts and daily acts of kindness of the people around us.
Thank you for making us your lights to shine in the darkness of unrest. Thank you for the roof over our heads, the shoes on our feet, and the food on our tables. Thank you for gifted scientists who work tirelessly to find a vaccine. Thank you for our family, friends, and special people in our lives who bring us support and comfort when we need a shoulder to lean on. Thank you for nurses and caregivers who give of themselves to serve others.
Thank you for technology that allows us to connect with loved ones in ways we never could have imagined and share your message of love across the world. Thank you for working through these trying times to bring people closer to you. The proof of your love is in the cross. Strengthen us to live a
life of gratitude and reflect your love to everyone around us. In your saving name we pray, amen.
