Blessed in God’s grace.
Blessed is the one who does not take offense at me.” (Matthew 11:6)
Has Jesus’ words or actions offended you?
Try to imagine walking with Jesus and listening to him on this earth. You would have seen:

- People who were blind receiving their sight.
- People who could not walk, walking.
- People who had a skin disease, healed.
- People who could not hear, listening.
- And one of the greatest miracles, observing Jesus bringing a person back to life.
True Jesus isn’t walking with us today like he did over 2000 years ago, so we don’t see these kinds of miracles. But these miracles happened because the Bible tells us. Not everyone believes that.
There are people who don’t believe in Jesus and his miracles. They don’t believe what he tells us in his Word. Jesus and his words offend them. They are missing out on the promises in today’s verse. They are not blessed. How sad!
The message of God’s love, the Gospel, is the greatest message ever told. If we would have walked with Jesus, we would have heard him tell us this wonderful message. When we read or listen to God’s Word, we can still hear the same message. It’s as if we were walking with Jesus.
The message has not changed. It remains the same as when Jesus lived on this earth, suffered, and died for our sins. Jesus is God’s undeserved love for us. We need to be reminded of this message so we can grow in God’s grace. When we grow in God’s grace, we will never be offended at what Jesus has done for us. We will be blessed.
Pray for those who are offended at Jesus. They are missing his blessing.
Prayer: Dear Father in heaven, I thank you for blessings me and all believers with your Gospel message. Continue to bless me and all believers in Christ. Amen.
