For a third year, Kingsway Retirement Living Wins National Best of Assisted Living Award
BELLE PLAINE, MINN. February 2, 2016 –Kingsway Retirement Living, a ministry of The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA), has won the Best of Assisted Living Award from SeniorAdvisor for the third consecutive year. The award is based on receiving consistently high ratings from residents and their families.
“Our team member’s commitment to providing quality Christian care is recognized by our residents and family members.” said Karl Keup, administrator of Kingsway Retirement Living.
Kingsway offers independent living, assisted living and memory care services as part of a 22-acre continuum of care campus in Belle Plaine, Minn. In its most recent review on SeniorAdvisor.com, a resident’s daughter shared her impression of Kingsway’s welcoming environment and caring team.
“My father was blessed beyond words to spend his last six weeks of life in Kingsway’s memory care,” she wrote. “It not only is a beautiful facility to live in but more importantly, the staff is outstanding and full of passion and unconditional love for each resident, not to mention highly trained in memory care. They are an amazing team of Christian people who loved, cared for, encouraged, and engaged my father in activities every day to give him a quality life full of dignity, honor and happiness. The respect, love and care he received was unwavering each day. They have state of the art technology for the safety of the residents and also for stimulating them intellectually via a giant touch screen computer that can be programmed for each resident’s interests and hobbies. I will forever be grateful for Kingsway and how they blessed my father and my family and showed us all unconditional love and care.”
The SeniorAdvisor.com Best of Awards celebrate the best of the best in senior living and home care across the U.S. Of the nearly 100,000 providers currently listed on SeniorAdvisor.com, Kingsway is one of more than 1,000 that were recognized with this award nationwide. Kingsway is one of 11 winners in Minnesota and one of two consecutive winners that have received the award since its inception.
“The continued recognition by SeniorAdvisor.com as a top assisted living facility shows our commitment to our residents and their family members,” said Michael Klatt, president and chief executive officer of The Lutheran Home Association. “We are honored to receive this designation for the third year in a row and look forward to continuing to provide Christian care, share God’s word and deliver outstanding customer service.”
The SeniorAdvisor Excellence Award identifies the top senior living communities that have received an overall average rating of at least 4.5 stars on the site. This exclusive designation places the winners in the top 1 percent of the senior living communities nationwide, according to consumers.
“Families are increasingly looking to online reviews to find out who truly delivers great care for our seniors, not just who claims to deliver great care,” said Eric Seifert, president of SeniorAdvisor.com. “Our SeniorAdvisor.com Awards program is all about celebrating the exceptional people who do just that. We’re honored to spread the word about these organizations whom families can entrust with the care of their loved ones.”
