Highland Regency House Celebrating One Year Anniversary
NEW ULM, MINN., September 1, 2015 – Highland Regency House, a senior independent living apartment community in New Ulm, Minn., is celebrating its one-year anniversary with an open house on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will include tours, entertainment and refreshments.
“It’s hard to believe it’s been a year since we opened,” said Barb Weicherding, property manager for Highland Regency House. “Over the last year, the residents have become engaged with each other and with the community. We have held a variety of events and activities in our community room from a children’s choir concert to apartment safety, from indoor planting to Bible studies. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to help grow the community and engage the residents. You will not find a more caring group of people than those I am privileged to serve at Highland Regency.”
Highland Regency House is a 50-unit senior apartment building located at 1520 Sunset Avenue in New Ulm, Minn. adjacent to the Martin Luther College (MLC) Early Childhood Learning Center. Community amenities include an entry foyer and lounge, a community room with kitchen and restroom, pub, exercise area and library. Highland Regency House partners with local organizations to offer additional services to residents: Allina Health occupies the health care room a few times a month to provide clinic services and Lisa Eckstein works out of the building’s salon on Thursdays providing styling services to residents and community members.
“The last year, we have been blessed to be a part of the community and to develop relationships with organizations and many of our supporters in the New Ulm area,” said Michael Klatt, President and CEO of The Lutheran Home Association, Highland Regency House’s property management company. “We are excited by the community’s engagement and look forward to meeting the needs of the residents in the future. TLHA has proven to be an outstanding leader and achieved excellence in our outcomes for the owner of the project, Doneff Companies of Manitowoc, Wis. The future is bright as we deliver our experience that inspires our residents and family members.”
