Belle Plaine, MN (May 26, 2020)— The Lutheran Home Belle Plaine Campus is hosting a walk to raise awareness about Dementia and those it affects on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Participants will walk in memory or honor of a loved one with memory loss. All proceeds will support memory care funding on the TLHA campus.

WHAT: “Stepping Forward for Dementia” Walk.  The event will feature a short opening ceremony, a 5,000 step [2-mile] walk and post-walk activities.

REGISTRATION: Pre-register online at tlha.org/walk. Registration cost includes a t-shirt, pinwheel, and swag bag. Onsite registration is available the day of the event.

WHEN: Saturday, August 1, 2020

WHERE: The walk starts and ends at The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine (611 West Main Street).

We are continuing to plan our annual event; however, regarding COVID-19 and the guidelines in affect, we will decide if it is safe to host this event as it gets closer. If unsafe to host, registration fees will still support the Dementia programming on our campus. Those who register before July 12 will be guaranteed their T-shirt.
