The Lutheran Home: River Falls Skilled Nursing Facility to close
BELLE PLAINE, MINN., December 6, 2016 – The Lutheran Home Association has decided to close The Lutheran Home: River Falls skilled nursing facility in River Falls, Wis.
The decision was made after a thorough analysis of the changing market place in the River Falls and Hudson area. Trends indicate seniors have a strong desire to remain independent as long as possible and the demand for skilled nursing care has decreased in this region.
While the skilled nursing facility will close, Wellhaven Senior Living will continue to provide quality senior care. Wellhaven is a Wisconsin state-licensed Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) integrated to accommodate independent, supportive and assisted living.
“Closing the skilled nursing facility in River Falls was an extremely difficult decision for our ministry leaders,” said Michael Klatt, chief executive officer and president of The Lutheran Home Association. “The health care sector is experiencing drastic changes in the skilled nursing market place. Our quality Christian care will not change during the transition. We are committed to our residents, family members and team members.”
The transition is expected to be completed by February 22, 2017. This date is flexible.
During the transition, The Lutheran Home: River Falls will continue to provide quality Christian care to residents.
