A Taste of Italy
As a way to brighten up a few gloomy rainy days, Kingsway team members worked together to host an Italian themed lunch. June includes National Italian Day to celebrate the Festa della Repubblica so the theme was an easy choice. The lunch featured several different types of pizza, pasta, breadsticks, salad and chocolate, raspberry and creamsicle ice-cream for dessert.
“Team members dressed up in a variety of costumes including chefs, a dinner table and a mime. A few of us tried our best at Italian accents,” said Vlada Gladis, Life Enrichment Manager at Kingsway. Kingsway hosts themed lunches through the summer for the residents to learn about other cultures.
