Bible trivia ring toss—a win at a local JCM program

With Jesus Cares Ministries (JCM) programs located across the United States, volunteers find unique ways to share God’s word with individuals with special needs. Volunteers at Faith Lutheran Church in Tallahassee, FL., discovered a fun way to answer the review questions for each lesson.
Rather than simply asking lesson questions, the program organizers turned answering questions into a game.
Participants are seated at a U-shaped table. Inside the U is an additional table where organizers set up plastic cups. Each cup is labeled with numbers corresponding to questions. Participants toss rings into the numbered cups, prompting the question asked.
“We love hearing about ideas like this. Learning about God’s word should be fun,” explained Pastor Joel Gaertner, National Director of JCM. “Incorporating games like this increases motivation, attentiveness and retention for participants.”
