Celebrating love on Valentine’s Day
We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
Activity team members at The Lutheran Home and Kingsway planned fun activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The celebrations allowed to us recognize the love we have in our lives while also recognizing God’s love for us.
At The Lutheran Home, residents enjoyed a Sweetheart Luncheon for residents and their spouses. It was wonderful to see the residents experiencing a meal together. Across campus, residents enjoyed a special lunch in the decorated dining room and an ice cream social in the afternoon. Both residents and team members at both communities dressed up wearing pink and red.
As a tribute to our ‘valentines,’ Kingsway residents and team members shared photos of their partners and families. To share the love, the photos were displayed near our front entrance.
