Celebrating National Assisted Living Week at St. Michael’s
“A Spark of Creativity” was the theme for this year’s is this year’s theme for National Assisted Living Week celebrated Sept. 8-14. The theme hoped to inspire residents to tap into their creative side, whether through the arts or beyond. To start the week of fun off, St. Michael’s residents spent the afternoon making greeting cards.
The week continued with a variety of activities for both residents and team members. On Monday, everyone sported a pair of crazy socks. On Tuesday, local musician Dave Kiral performed. On Wednesday, residents and team members took silly photos with props in a photo booth. Later in the evening, residents enjoyed a bonfire. Thursday was all about the food with omelets served in the morning and pizza in the evening. Friday was sports day with a special presentation by Rita, the Alma librarian.
