Honoring and remembering friends & family

Christmas lights twinkle on large pine trees located outside of Wellhaven Senior Living. During the recent Tree of Love event, the trees were lit in honor of the Wellhaven tenants who have been called home to heaven in the past year.
“As the trees turned from dark to a bright light, it was quite a moment,” said Laura Swanson, Activities Coordinator & Marketing Assistant at Wellhaven. “The entire event provided an afternoon to honor family and friends.”
Attendees could purchase a string of lights or ornaments personalized with an individual’s name. At the end of the event, everyone was welcome to bring their ornament home.
Proceeds from the event went to support dining room renovations. Wellhaven tenants enjoy their meals in the dining room space, along with a variety of activities. The renovations include new flooring, furniture and updated décor.
