Kingsway resident “lives her best life” within our community
Bobbie, a current Kingsway resident, was born in Ohio to a large family. In her twenties, she married and, together with her husband, they were blessed with four children.
While in his thirties, her youngest son was called home to Heaven followed by her brother, sister, and husband within a two-year span. Later, Bobbie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
The world began to look a little less colorful. With help from a licensed therapist, Bobbie was able to see color again. Despite all the challenges, she woke up and decided she was not going to feel sorry for herself.
“I need to take my mom’s advice and ‘live my best life.’ My story isn’t over,” said Bobbie.
This change in mindset put Bobbie on an entirely different path in life. Calling Kingsway home gave her a passion for helping others. She recently started sharing her time and working with our activity team member members, Mary and Sherry.
