Working where your heart is
Misty Davis recently joined the team at St. Michael’s Assisted Living but her presence has truly been a blessing from God.
“Misty is very detail orientated and she really has our residents best interest in mind,” said Tiffany Olson, Administrator at St. Michael’s.
Misty serves as a Clinical Care Coordinator during the evening shift, typically from noon to 8 p.m.
“Every day is different; some days are busier than others,” Misty said, “That is why I love nursing. You don’t know what’s going to happen but you know you’re going to make a difference.”
Misty’s job responsibilities include working with admissions, discharges, treatment and occasional medication passes, if help is needed.
Within her role, Misty has been able to discover her love of working with the geriatric population.
“I just love listening to their stories; I was born to work with the elderly population. I tried hospital work and only lasted one day and thought I’m going back in the nursing home,” she said. “Geriatric long term care is where my heart is.”
