Meet our Team: Faith, creating bonds
Faith, Resident Assistant at The Lutheran Home: Cedar Haven in Mankato, Minn.
Faith Bergevin recently joined the Cedar Haven team on March 3, 2017, as a Resident Assistant.
Her role includes providing direct care, from administrating medications or serving meals, for the residents. Based on previous direct care positions, Faith was hoping to be able to work directly with the residents.
“I really wanted to get into direct care and I was impressed with Cedar Haven when searching online for jobs. I thought, I would love to have this job,” Faith said.
One of Faith’s strengths is her gentle compassion while being exceedingly kind to everyone. Elli Fuller, administrator at Cedar Haven, commented on Faith’s work style.
“Faith is so thoughtful in her words and actions and is always looking how to help someone, whether it be anticipating a resident need even before they ask or going the extra mile to ease a coworker’s work load,” Elli said.
One of Faith’s favorite part of the job is the creating bonds and relationships with the residents.
“The other day I was thinking, at around 10 a.m., about my shift starting at 2 p.m., and I thought, only four more hours till I get to go to work,” she said.
