FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Belle Plaine, Minn – July 25, 2025 – Location Closure. High Island Creek Residence in Arlington, Minn will be closing effective September 30, 2025.  The Lutheran Home Association (TLHA) has made the decision to close High Island Creek Residence after analysis of the changing market in Arlington.

“Choosing to close the Christian community of High Island Creek Residence was a difficult decision for our leaders and Board of Directors,” said Mark Hayes, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Lutheran Home Association. “We are thankful for the team members who worked tirelessly for our residents throughout the five plus years since we took over ownership, as well as the many caring people who invested years of their lives caring for these wonderful people long before our involvement.”

During the transition period, TLHA will be working closely with the families and care givers to make the transition seamless for the residents, staff and vendors.

“Our concern for the health and wellbeing of our residents has always been number one,” said Megan Lambrecht, Regional Director of Disability Services at The Lutheran Home Association. “This is also the priority as we are helping families choose a new living arrangement for their loved ones.”
