Taking time to celebrate
Hope Residence resident Ashlee recently took time to celebrate. Ashlee has graduated from a transitional program through Southwest Metro in Shakopee, Minn. The transition program was designed to help prepare students for future job placement by teaching interview and job skills.
To celebrate, Ashlee’s mother DiAnn and her grandmother Nadine came to visit from Rockford, Ill.
“I miss them a lot and care about both of them. I really enjoyed being able to celebrate with them,” said Ashlee.
During the graduation, each student received their diploma while a classmate performed “I believe you can fly.”
“It was an emotional day for all involved,” said Robyn Mellgren, Ashlee’s Program Manager at Hope. “We are excited for Ashlee’s development.”
