Celebrating the colors of Christmas
During the month of December, residents celebrated the birth of Baby Jesus during the annual Christmas program. The program, Christmas – Color it Joyful – focused on the different meanings and messages behind the colors of the Christmas season.
“It’s just so much fun. I love telling the story of Jesus’s birth with others. ” said Joyce, a resident at Hope.
With each different color (red, white, green, gold) Hope residents, were able to read their lines, sing songs, perform in the bell choir and slowly decorate the Christmas tree.
“My favorite part is playing the bells. I like playing them for other people to listen.” said Gloria, a resident at Hope.
Program Assistant, Char Seefeldt, wrote and led the program. The program featured approximately 30 residents and was attended by more than 100 people.
“I like the Christmas story and being part of sharing it with others. ” said Heather, a resident at Hope.
